School Golf Society

Throughout the year, the Castle School of Dancing Golf Society arranges many golfing events for their members to enjoy.  The last trip organised in September 2009 was a visit to the challenging Dainton Park Golf Club at Ipplepen in Newton Abbot.  The weather was kind although there was a chill in the early morning air.  However this didn't deter the enthusiasm of the golfers and after 18 holes on the demanding course the day ended with a wonderful dinner in the club house.  After dinner, trophies were awarded for the player who won the both the "longest drive" competition and for the shot that was "closest to the pin" as well as the more traditional prizes.

Further Events
The Spring Golf Day has now been booked at Ashbury Hotel Golf Club on Wednesday 31st March 2010.  The cost will be £30 per person which is incredible value since it includes the following:

• bacon roll and coffee/tea on arrival

• one round of golf

• three course buffet dinner

• free course planner

• free warm-up basket of balls

• free buggy hire for two people

• contribution toward the prizes

Tee-off will commence at 10:00am and Dinner will be at approximately 3:30pm.  The game is to be played on the Beaches Course, it will last over four hours and some tees are a distant apart, hence the need for a buggy!  Please will all golfers associated with the School, past and present, support this venue by booking this date inn your diary and joining the Society for a great day out.
